What it is

A grown-up types a job on their phone and picks a kid. It writes into your own Skylight account — so it shows on the Calendar and on that child's Buddy — and then buzzes that child's phone. Every kid in the house, each with their own pouch, each seeing only their own list. Jobs can require a photo before they tick off.

KangaToDo runs in your browser — there is nothing to download from an app store. You tap once to start, add your kids, and they join their own phones with a code. On an iPhone the app walks you through putting it on the Home Screen, which is the only way Apple allows it to send a notification.

What it needs

Nothing. You start in one tap — no account, no password, no email — and add your own kids and jobs. If you happen to own a Skylight Calendar you can connect it, and jobs land on it and on that child's Buddy too; your Skylight password is then used once to connect and is never stored. Photos of finished jobs are private, are fetched through our server rather than by a public link, and delete themselves after 7 days. One button deletes everything. Read the privacy page.
