What it is
Tell Brian what you spent and he writes it down. Say “I drove forty-five miles and bought five books for resale — twelve, eight, fifteen, nine and twenty-four” and it lands as mileage at the IRS rate for that day plus five separately priced line items. He asks the one thing he cannot work out — business or personal — so nothing is left to go back and mark later.
Mileage three ways. Say the miles. Say the places — “drove from home to Blanchard, then Bayview, then home” — and the road miles are looked up for you. Or tap Start when you pull out of the driveway, Pause at each door, Continue when you pull away and End when you are back, and the whole day files itself as one entry, leg by leg. If the phone locks in your pocket between stops, the missing road is filled in between the last two known points, and the entry says exactly how many miles were filled.
