The short version. AE Comply checks public information about a website — the same records anyone on the internet can look up. You do not create an account. We do not ask for personal information, we do not use cookies, and we do not track you or run advertising.
What we collect
- The domain names you enter. That is the only thing you give us.
- The results of the checks we run on them — DNS records (SPF, DMARC, MX, DNSSEC, CAA, MTA-STS, TLS reporting), the TLS certificate your site presents, and the HTTP response headers your site returns.
- Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) — IP address, timestamp, and the URL requested. We do not combine these with anything else.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, names, email addresses or phone numbers.
- No cookies, no analytics scripts, no advertising or third-party trackers.
- Nothing from inside your network, your devices, your mailbox or your files. AE Comply only ever looks at information that is already published publicly.
- We do not sell, rent or share your data. There is nothing to sell.
Where it goes
To answer a check we make public DNS and web requests about the domain you entered. Those queries go to public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare and Google public DNS) and to the domain's own nameservers and web server. Results are stored in our evidence vault, hosted by Vercel in the United States.
The evidence vault, and why records are kept
The point of the product is a dated record you can show an inspector, an insurer or a client. So each run is stored and cryptographically chained to the one before it — that is what makes it evidence rather than a screenshot. Records contain domain names and check results only. They contain no personal information.
Retention: kept until you ask us to remove them. To have records for a workspace or domain deleted, email us and we will remove them.
How your records are kept apart — and the honest limit of it
You are not asked to create an account. Instead your evidence lives under a workspace key — a random 24-character string that appears in your link. Keep the link and you can reach your records; it is the only key, and we hold nothing else about you.
The limit, stated plainly: our storage provider does not offer per-file access control on this plan, so a stored record is technically reachable by anyone who has its exact address. Nothing is listed, linked or searchable, and the address contains your random key — so in practice it cannot be found. But we will not call it “private” or “encrypted”, because it is neither. Records contain domain names and check results only, never personal information. If that ever changes, real access control comes first.
What AE Comply is not
AE Comply monitors readiness and produces evidence. It does not certify compliance, and it is not a HIPAA risk assessment, a security audit, or legal advice. Where a report references a rule — HIPAA's Security Rule, for example — it covers only the parts that are externally observable, and the report says plainly what it does not cover.
Children
AE Comply is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this page changes materially we will update the date at the top. We do not make quiet changes.
