A haircut is a booking: pick a time, show up. A tattoo is not. The artist has to see the references, decide whether it is in their style, whether it is possible, and how long it will take before a time can exist. Sleeves OS starts four steps earlier than a calendar.

How does the deposit gate work?

A request cannot reach Booked until the deposit is taken. The deposit is the greater of a floor amount or a percentage of the quote, and it credits the final price rather than being an extra fee.

What happens if two clients want the same flash?

They cannot. Flash is one-of-one inventory. The moment a design is claimed it retires from the wall, and trying to claim it again tells you who has it.

Is consent taken once or every visit?

Every session. Health facts change and the waiver has to name that day's work. The system lists exactly what is missing — ID, screening, waiver, aftercare — before the artist starts.

Does it stop a session that should not happen?

Yes. Under 18, pregnancy, being under the influence and clotting disorders are hard stops. Others, like blood thinners or a keloid history, are not stops but change how the session runs, and the system says how.

How does booth rent work?

Each artist carries their own split. The shop's percentage is applied on every session, and the shop's real net is that cut minus the supplies it provided. Owner-artists show a zero split, which is correct.

Does it take the deposit?

It computes and authorises the charge; a licensed payment processor moves the money. We name that as a vendor integration rather than implying it is native.
